Job Overview

This role involves designing and implementing smart farming systems that leverage IoT, data analytics, and automation to enhance crop yields and resource efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy smart irrigation and soil monitoring systems using IoT sensors.
• Collaborate with farmers to integrate precision agriculture tools into existing workflows.
• Analyze agricultural data to optimize crop management and reduce environmental impact.
• Design training programs for local stakeholders on the use of digital farming technologies.
• Partner with NGOs and government agencies to scale sustainable agricultural practices.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in agricultural technology platforms and software (e.g., FarmBeats, Ag Leader).
• Experience with IoT device integration and data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of sustainable farming practices and climate-smart agriculture.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Ability to work in remote rural environments with limited infrastructure.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.

Salary

3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
