Job Overview

The Sustainability Compliance Analyst will play a pivotal role in monitoring, reporting, and improving the company’s environmental performance across all production sites in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular compliance audits of water usage, waste management, and energy consumption at all manufacturing facilities.
• Prepare detailed sustainability reports in line with Tanzanian environmental regulations and global standards such as ISO 14001.
• Identify gaps in current practices and develop corrective action plans to achieve continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure suppliers adhere to Coca‑Cola’s sustainability criteria.
• Support the implementation of carbon reduction initiatives, including renewable energy projects and efficiency upgrades.
• Facilitate training sessions for employees on environmental policies, best practices, and reporting procedures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local legislation, industry trends, and emerging sustainability technologies to advise senior management.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in data collection, interpretation, and presentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
• Knowledge of Tanzanian environmental laws, ISO standards, and sustainability frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with sustainability reporting software.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Education

The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Advanced certifications such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

A minimum of three to five years of experience in environmental compliance, sustainability reporting, or a related field within the manufacturing or beverage sector is required. Prior experience working in Tanzania or other East African markets will be considered a strong asset.
