Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement tax planning strategies for a portfolio of domestic and international clients.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax consultants, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax compliance reviews, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and customs duties.
  • Advise clients on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and cross‑border transactions.
  • Stay abreast of changes in Tanzanian tax law and international tax standards, providing timely updates to clients.
  • Prepare and review tax filings, returns and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions that address broader business challenges.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on tax optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex tax concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of managing high‑performing teams.

Education

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to the tax profession.

Experience

A minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in tax advisory, preferably within a Big Four or reputable multinational consultancy, is required. Experience serving clients in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, telecommunications and financial services will be considered an advantage.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits suite.
