Job Overview
The Guest Experience Manager will lead the Guest Services team to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless, personalized, and memorable stay. Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing service standards that exceed expectations, handling complex guest inquiries, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce guest service standards that align with Hilton’s brand promise and local market expectations.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the Guest Services team to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences.
- Handle escalated guest complaints and resolve issues promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Sales teams to create integrated service solutions.
- Analyze guest feedback and performance metrics to identify trends and implement improvement plans.
- Manage staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and training programs for the department.
- Oversee the implementation of digital guest engagement tools and ensure effective use of technology.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards specific to the hospitality sector.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people‑management abilities with a focus on team development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English; Swahili proficiency is a plus.
- Proven problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Deep understanding of hospitality operations, guest journey mapping, and service recovery.
- Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and drive actionable improvements.
- Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and guest experience platforms.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality service in line with global brand standards.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field is required. Additional certifications such as Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) or similar are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in hotel guest services, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in luxury or upscale hotel environments is preferred.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total rewards structure.
