Job Overview

The Credit Portfolio Analyst will join the Credit Risk Management department to support the bank’s lending activities by assessing credit risk, monitoring portfolio performance, and providing actionable insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze credit applications and existing loan accounts to assess risk and recommend approval or restructuring.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and prepare risk dashboards for senior management.
  • Conduct sectoral and macro‑economic analysis to evaluate external factors affecting borrower creditworthiness.
  • Prepare detailed credit reports, including financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and covenant compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers to develop risk‑adjusted pricing strategies and credit limits.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of credit risk policies, procedures, and scoring models.
  • Participate in periodic portfolio reviews, stress testing, and regulatory reporting.
  • Support the implementation of digital credit assessment tools and data analytics platforms.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Excellent knowledge of banking regulations, credit risk frameworks, and loan underwriting standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with credit risk software (e.g., Moody’s Analytics, SAS) is a plus.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities to convey complex risk findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Education
