Job Overview
Vodacom Tanzania is seeking a proactive and results-driven Regional Sales Manager – Telecommunications Services to oversee and strengthen sales operations in Mwanza and the surrounding Lake Zone region. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the adoption of Vodacom’s telecommunications solutions, including mobile voice services, data packages, enterprise connectivity solutions, and digital financial services.
This role is responsible for managing regional sales performance, building a strong distributor and dealer network, and implementing strategic sales initiatives that contribute to the company’s revenue growth and market leadership. The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and effective product distribution.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze market trends to develop effective sales strategies. This role also requires the ability to manage a diverse sales territory and build long-term relationships with corporate clients, retail partners, and channel distributors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion
Manage and support distributor networks and dealer partnerships
Monitor territory sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities
Lead sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales reporting activities
Coordinate with marketing teams to implement brand activation and promotional campaigns
Identify opportunities for customer acquisition and market penetration
Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key accounts
Ensure effective product availability and retail merchandising standards
Train and mentor junior sales staff to improve sales performance and productivity
