Position Overview

The GPS Tracking Operations Intern will support the daily monitoring of company vehicles using GPS tracking technologies and fleet management systems. The role involves analyzing vehicle movement, generating operational reports, identifying inefficiencies, and assisting management in improving fleet performance.

Key Responsibilities

GPS Monitoring and Fleet Tracking

• Monitor trucks and fleet assets using GPS tracking systems.
• Track vehicle movement, route compliance, and operational performance.
• Identify delays, unauthorized stops, route deviations, and excessive idle time.
• Monitor fleet activities to ensure adherence to operational guidelines.
• Support real-time vehicle tracking and operational visibility.

Reporting and Data Analysis

• Generate daily fleet movement reports and GPS tracking summaries.
• Prepare idle-time reports and operational performance dashboards.
• Analyze transport data and identify operational trends.
• Support management with data-driven recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet activities and tracking information.

Operations Coordination

• Coordinate with Fleet, Operations, and Workshop departments on tracking-related matters.
• Escalate GPS-related issues requiring operational intervention.

• Assist in improving workflow efficiency and fleet utilization.

Compliance and Performance Monitoring

• Identify abnormal stoppages and operational irregularities.
• Monitor overspeeding incidents and route compliance.
• Support implementation of fleet discipline and accountability initiatives.
• Assist management in reducing vehicle downtime and operational inefficiencies.
• Contribute to improved transport performance and cost management.
