Job Overview

This role focuses on designing and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance supply chain performance in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will leverage analytics, process optimization, and cross-departmental collaboration to reduce costs, improve delivery timelines, and ensure compliance with international logistics standards. This position is critical to supporting Maersk’s mission to deliver seamless supply chain solutions in East Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and propose optimization strategies
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives for logistics operations
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, and transportation teams to streamline workflows
  • Monitor industry trends and integrate emerging technologies to enhance supply chain resilience
  • Prepare performance reports and present findings to senior management

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of lean logistics and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with supply chain risk assessment and mitigation

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain optimization or logistics management
  • Proven track record in implementing process improvements

Salary

5,000,000 – 7,500,000 TZS per month, commensurate with experience.
