Job Overview
The Senior Investment Analyst will play a critical role in our Investment Banking Division, focusing on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic asset management. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analysis for various asset classes and corporate entities.
- Perform detailed market research to identify emerging trends and potential investment opportunities within the East African market.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee and senior stakeholders.
- Monitor macroeconomic indicators and regulatory changes that may impact the bank’s investment strategy.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to assess the creditworthiness and risk profiles of potential clients and projects.
- Assist in the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring transactions.
- Maintain and update internal databases and financial models to ensure accuracy in reporting.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, DCF analysis, and comparable company analysis.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, corporate finance, and investment banking principles.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex data to executives.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg Terminal, Excel (VBA preferred), and other financial software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a high-stakes environment.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to connect micro-level data to macro-level trends.
Education
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration (MBA), or a closely related quantitative field. Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in investment banking, equity research, or corporate finance is required.
