Job Overview
The Store Operations Manager will lead all aspects of store performance in Tanga, overseeing daily operations, staff management, inventory control, visual merchandising, and customer service standards. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the manager will implement corporate policies, analyze sales data, and develop action plans to achieve revenue targets and cost‑control objectives. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the store operates in compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of 30+ associates, including department supervisors, sales staff, and support personnel.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales per square meter, shrinkage, and labor productivity.
- Develop and execute weekly and monthly operational plans to meet sales, profit, and service goals.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels through accurate forecasting, stock replenishment, and loss prevention strategies.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation, visual merchandising, and cleanliness in line with brand guidelines.
- Handle customer escalations, resolve complaints, and implement initiatives to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to manage deliveries, back‑room organization, and product assortment.
- Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and corporate policies.
- Drive community engagement programs and promotional events to increase foot traffic and brand loyalty.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Commerce, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications in supply chain or store management are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five years’ experience in retail operations, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing budgets, and leading large teams is essential.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this position is 1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total compensation package.
