Job Overview

The International Student Recruitment Officer will lead strategic initiatives to attract, engage, and enroll high‑quality students from abroad. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to increase international student applications by 20% annually.
  • Identify and nurture relationships with overseas high schools, colleges, and education agents across target regions such as East Africa, South Asia, and Europe.
  • Organize and represent UDSM at international education fairs, webinars, and virtual open days.
  • Develop culturally relevant marketing collateral, digital content, and social media campaigns aligned with the university’s brand.
  • Coordinate with academic faculties to tailor programme information and admission requirements for prospective international students.
  • Provide guidance on visa processes, scholarship opportunities, and pre‑arrival support.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, generate reports, and analyse trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Student Services team to ensure smooth onboarding, orientation, and integration of new international students.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience using CRM and data analytics tools.
  • Proven track record in international student recruitment or higher education marketing.

Education
