Job Overview
The Cloud Solutions Engineer will design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud architectures for a diverse portfolio of clients in Zanzibar and the broader Tanzanian market. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Azure infrastructure components, including virtual networks, storage accounts, and compute resources, tailored to client business needs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop cloud migration strategies, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Implement security controls, identity management, and governance policies to protect data and meet regulatory requirements.
- Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and client IT staff.
- Document architecture designs, configuration settings, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with emerging Azure services and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and related tooling.
- Hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Azure Resource Manager templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security frameworks, and identity management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python) for automation.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Experience
