Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Agriculture Specialist to join our team in Singida, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital agriculture solutions to improve the productivity and income of smallholder farmers in Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital agriculture solutions to improve the productivity and income of smallholder farmers in Tanzania
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including farmers, extension agents, and input suppliers, to design and implement digital agriculture interventions
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital agriculture in Tanzania and develop strategies to address the needs of smallholder farmers
- Develop and manage digital platforms and tools to support digital agriculture interventions, including mobile apps, websites, and data analytics platforms
- Provide training and capacity-building programs for farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders on digital agriculture technologies and practices
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in digital agriculture, agriculture extension, or a related field
- Strong understanding of digital agriculture technologies, including mobile apps, websites, and data analytics platforms
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with local stakeholders
Education
The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Agriculture or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience
The successful candidate must have 5-7 years of experience in digital agriculture, agriculture extension, or a related field.
Salary
The salary for this position is 1,500,000 – 2,000,000 SSP per year.
