Job Overview
This position is part of Kroll’s expanding cybersecurity division in Tanzania, addressing the growing demand for digital forensics expertise in East Africa. The role focuses on investigating cybercrimes, recovering digital evidence, and supporting legal and regulatory compliance. Candidates will work on high-impact cases involving corporate fraud, data breaches, and digital asset recovery. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with international cybersecurity teams and contribute to regional cybersecurity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct digital forensic investigations on devices, networks, and cloud systems
- Analyze cyber incidents and produce court-admissible reports
- Recover and preserve digital evidence from compromised systems
- Develop and implement cybersecurity protocols for client organizations
- Provide expert testimony in digital investigations
li>Collaborate with legal teams on cybercrime cases and regulatory audits
Required Skills
- Proficiency in forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite)
- Certifications: CISSP, CFE, or GCFE preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with e-discovery and legal compliance frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Tanzanian cybercrime legislation
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Advanced certifications in digital forensics (e.g., GCFA) are advantageous
Experience
- 3-5 years in digital forensics or cybersecurity roles
- Proven track record in cybercrime investigations
- Experience in East African markets is a plus
