Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Geophysicist to join our Exploration team in Tunduru, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geophysical surveys and interpreting data to identify potential mineral deposits.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geophysics and experience working in a mining environment. They will be responsible for ensuring that all environmental and safety protocols are followed during surveys and will work closely with our exploration team to identify new mineral deposits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct geophysical surveys using a variety of techniques, including seismic and electromagnetic methods
  • Interpret data to identify potential mineral deposits and recommend further exploration
  • Ensure that all environmental and safety protocols are followed during surveys
  • Work closely with our exploration team to identify new mineral deposits

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Geophysics or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in geophysics, preferably in a mining environment
  • Strong background in geophysical surveying and data interpretation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

A Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related field is required. A Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field is an asset.

Experience

8-12 years of experience in geophysics, preferably in a mining environment.

Salary

The salary for this position is 1,000,000 – 1,500,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
