Kilimo Trust is looking for a Finance & Administration Intern to support daily financial and administrative operations while gaining practical experience in accounting, reporting, and office management.

Position: Finance & Administration Intern
Location: Dodoma, Tanzania
Job Type: Full-Time
Contract Duration: 15 Months
Reporting To: Finance & Admin Assistant
Direct Reports: None
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Duties
Assist in reviewing payment requisitions, invoices, and supporting documents
Support preparation of payment vouchers and cheques
Ensure payment acknowledgments are properly collected
Maintain accurate and organized filing of financial documents
Ensure all processed documents are stamped “PAID”
Assist in handling travel advances and accountability tracking
Support weekly financial data entry into the accounting system
Maintain inventory and fixed asset registers
Administration Duties
Front Office Support
Maintain organized filing systems and documentation
Ensure professional appearance of the front office
Assist in scheduling meetings and preparing agendas
General Administration
Support staff travel logistics and coordination
Assist in procurement processes ensuring value for money
Prepare internal communications and memos
Help organize meetings, workshops, and events
Support management of office equipment and service providers
Assist in digital document archiving and record management
Technical Skills Required
Basic proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel)
Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Basic bookkeeping and data entry skills
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to multitask and manage workload effectively
Basic administrative and organizational skills
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in finance or administration
