Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Geophysicist to join our Exploration team in Tunduru, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geophysical surveys and analyzing data to identify potential oil and gas reserves.
The Geophysicist will work closely with our team of geologists, engineers, and other experts to develop and implement exploration strategies.
This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in geophysics or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics or a related field and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geophysical surveys using various techniques such as seismic, gravity, and magnetic methods
- Analyze data to identify potential oil and gas reserves
- Develop and implement exploration strategies in collaboration with the Exploration team
- Work closely with geologists, engineers, and other experts to integrate geophysical data into the exploration process
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in geophysics or a related field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics or a related field from a recognized university
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in geophysics or a related field, with a strong background in exploration geophysics
Salary
5,000,000 – 7,000,000 SSP per year, depending on experience and qualifications
