Job Overview
The Sustainable Agriculture Extension Officer will lead efforts to promote environmentally responsible farming practices in rural Iringa. This role bridges the gap between agricultural innovation and local communities, ensuring scalable solutions for sustainable food production. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement training programs on sustainable farming techniques for smallholder farmers.
- Conduct field assessments to identify agricultural challenges and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with local governments and NGOs to align projects with national development goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of agricultural interventions on food security and environmental health.
- Provide technical support for the adoption of drought-resistant crops and soil conservation methods.
