Job Overview
As a Food Safety Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that PepsiCo Tanzania’s production processes meet national and international food safety regulations. This position involves conducting audits, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions to maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety. The role is ideal for professionals passionate about food security and quality assurance in Tanzania’s growing manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and unannounced audits of production facilities, warehouses, and distribution centers.
- Evaluate compliance with HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards.
- Identify food safety risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate contamination risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement food safety protocols and training programs.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices in food safety.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in food safety auditing or quality assurance roles.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and certification standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Certification in Food Safety (e.g., PCQI, HACCP).
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in food safety auditing or quality assurance within the food and beverage industry.
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
