Job Overview
This role leads the design and implementation of smart infrastructure projects in Manyara, integrating IoT-enabled systems, renewable energy solutions, and data-driven urban planning. The position requires strategic oversight of cross-disciplinary teams, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with international engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of smart infrastructure projects including transportation systems, energy grids, and digital urban platforms
- Coordinate with municipal authorities, technology providers, and construction teams
- Develop project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian infrastructure regulations and international sustainability standards
- Monitor project performance using AI-powered analytics tools
Required Skills
- Expertise in smart city technologies and digital infrastructure
- Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary project teams
- Experience with public-private partnership frameworks
- Fluency in Swahili and English
li>Strong understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license advantageous
Experience
- Minimum 5 years managing infrastructure projects in East Africa
- 3+ years in smart technology integration
- Experience with World Bank or AfDB-funded projects preferred
