We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join our team in Mbeya, Tanzania.

Job Overview

The Geographic Information Systems Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing geographic information systems (GIS) to support our environmental conservation efforts in Tanzania.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS and experience working with spatial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop GIS applications to support environmental conservation efforts
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify GIS needs and develop solutions
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff on GIS applications

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in GIS analysis and application development
  • Strong knowledge of spatial data analysis and GIS software
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

Education
