Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Singida, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation projects that protect and restore natural habitats and ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field, and will have experience working in a similar role in a developing country context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement conservation projects that protect and restore natural habitats and ecosystems
  • Conduct field research and monitoring to inform conservation decisions
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote conservation efforts
  • Develop and manage project budgets and resources
  • Monitor and report on project progress and outcomes

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, preferably in a developing country context
  • Strong knowledge of conservation biology, ecology, and environmental science
  • Experience with project management, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
