We are seeking a highly skilled Geophysicist to join our Exploration team in Mbeya, Tanzania. As a Geophysicist, you will be responsible for leading geophysical surveys and interpreting data to identify potential mineral deposits.
Job Overview
The Geophysicist will work closely with our geological and geotechnical teams to identify and evaluate potential mineral deposits. You will be responsible for designing and implementing geophysical surveys, interpreting data, and providing recommendations for further exploration.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement geophysical surveys to identify potential mineral deposits
- Interpret geophysical data to identify potential mineral deposits
- Work closely with geological and geotechnical teams to evaluate potential mineral deposits
- Provide recommendations for further exploration
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in geophysics, preferably in the mining industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
We are seeking a highly qualified Geophysicist with a Master’s degree in Geophysics or a related field. A Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field is an asset.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in geophysics, preferably in the mining industry. Experience with geophysical surveys and data interpretation is essential.
Salary
The salary for this position is 500,000 – 700,000 SSP per year, depending on experience.
