Job Overview:Heifer International is seeking a Sustainable Livestock Production Specialist to join our team in Tunduru, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing sustainable livestock production practices among smallholder farmers, improving their productivity and income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement sustainable livestock production projects among smallholder farmers
  • Provide training and technical assistance to farmers on improved livestock production practices
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and private sector partners

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Animal Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in sustainable livestock production or related field
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team and build relationships with local stakeholders
