Job Overview

The E-commerce Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end flow of goods for our growing e-commerce client base in the Mwanza region. This role is critical for ensuring that the rapid pace of online retail is matched by efficient, timely, and cost-effective logistics solutions. You will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, including warehouse teams, transport providers, and international shipping partners, to ensure that every order reaches its destination with precision. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily outbound and inbound shipments specifically tailored for e-commerce fulfillment models.
  • Monitor real-time tracking data to ensure timely delivery and proactively resolve any transit delays.
  • Collaborate with warehouse managers to optimize picking and packing processes for high-volume periods.
  • Manage documentation for cross-border shipments, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian customs regulations.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for faster delivery cycles.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local last-mile delivery partners to ensure service quality.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Logistics Management Systems (LMS) and ERP software.

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Swahili for stakeholder management.
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce fulfillment workflows and last-mile delivery challenges.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCP) is highly advantageous.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the e-commerce or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors. Proven experience in managing last-mile delivery networks and international shipping documentation is essential for success in this role.
