Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team in Morogoro, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our conservation programs, including project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and support to conservation programs, including project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement conservation plans and strategies, in collaboration with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct field assessments and monitoring activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with WWF staff and partners to develop and implement conservation education and outreach programs.
  • Develop and manage budgets and project plans, in collaboration with WWF staff and partners.

    • Required Skills
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in conservation biology, ecology, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement conservation plans and strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.

    • Education

    The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with a strong background in conservation biology, ecology, or a related field.

    Experience

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in conservation biology, ecology, or a related field.

    Salary

    The salary for this position is SSP 800,000 – 1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
