Job Overview
The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role in assisting our clients with the preparation, verification, and communication of sustainability disclosures in line with global standards such as GRI, SASB, and the UN Global Compact. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and analyze ESG data from client operations, supply chains, and third‑party sources.
- Prepare sustainability reports aligned with GRI, SASB, CDP, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct materiality assessments to identify priority ESG issues for each client.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate sustainability metrics into financial and operational reporting.
- Support the development of ESG strategies, targets, and performance dashboards.
- Assist in stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, surveys, and presentations.
- Monitor regulatory changes and emerging best practices in Tanzania and the broader East African market.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve clients’ sustainability performance and reporting quality.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of translating complex data into clear narratives.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, UNGC).
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team‑player mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as GRI Certified Training, SASB Fundamentals, or ESG‑related qualifications are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG consulting, corporate responsibility, or related fields. Experience within the Tanzanian market or East African region is a strong plus.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are also part of the compensation package.
