Job Overview
The Environmental Conservation Officer will be responsible for implementing conservation projects in the Musoma region. This will involve working with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement conservation plans.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental conservation, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement conservation plans in the Musoma region
- Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve conservation goals
- Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of conservation projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders
- Provide technical assistance and support to conservation projects
Required Skills
- Strong background in environmental conservation
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, with a strong background in project management and community engagement
Salary
250,000 – 350,000 SSP per annum
