Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Biologist to join our team in Njombe, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field research, monitoring and analyzing data, and developing conservation strategies to protect endangered species and their habitats.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental biology, ecology, or a related field, and experience working in conservation or research settings. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field research and monitoring to collect data on endangered species and their habitats
- Analyze data and develop conservation strategies to protect endangered species and their habitats
- Collaborate with local communities, governments, and other organizations to implement conservation projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, governments, and other organizations
- Contribute to the development of conservation policies and guidelines
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Biology or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in conservation or research settings
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and technical skills
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Biology or a related field. They will also have a strong background in ecology, conservation biology, or a related field.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in conservation or research settings. They will have a strong background in field research, data analysis, and conservation strategy development.
Salary
The salary for this position is 600,000 – 900,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
