Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Geologist to join our team in Kigoma, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments, monitoring and mitigating the environmental effects of our mining operations, and developing and implementing environmental management plans.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology, environmental science, or a related field, and will have experience working in a mining environment. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and monitoring programs to identify and mitigate potential environmental effects of mining operations
- Develop and implement environmental management plans to minimize the environmental footprint of our operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of our operations
- Provide technical advice and support to other departments on environmental issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders to ensure that their environmental concerns are addressed
Required Skills
- Strong background in geology, environmental science, or a related field
- Experience working in a mining environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
