Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to join our team in Sumbawanga, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring that all systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently. The Data Center Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a team of technicians and engineers, and will work closely with other departments to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service and support.
As a Data Center Operations Manager at Equinix Tanzania, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of technologies, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently, and that any issues are resolved quickly and effectively. You will also be responsible for managing the data center’s infrastructure, including the power and cooling systems, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and upgraded as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the data center, ensuring that all systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently
- Manage a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance and support as needed
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that customers receive the highest level of service and support
- Ensure that all systems and equipment are properly maintained and upgraded as needed
- Manage the data center’s infrastructure, including the power and cooling systems
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in data center operations or a related field
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and other stakeholders
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
