Job Overview
This role focuses on ensuring adherence to national and international environmental regulations for infrastructure and industrial projects in Mbeya. The position requires collaboration with local authorities, field audits, and development of compliance strategies for mining, construction, and agricultural clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental compliance audits for mining and construction projects
- Prepare technical reports for regulatory submissions to Tanzanian environmental agencies
- Liaise with local communities to address environmental concerns
- Develop and implement environmental management plans
- Monitor waste management and pollution control systems
Required Skills
- Expertise in Tanzanian environmental legislation (EPA, MEE)
- Proficiency in GIS mapping for environmental assessments
- Strong report writing and data analysis skills
- Bilingual communication (Swahili/English)
- Experience with ISO 14001 standards
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3 years in environmental compliance for industrial projects. Experience in East African regulatory frameworks required.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience.

Working Environment
