Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Researcher to join our team in Kigoma, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on environmental issues affecting rural communities in Tanzania, and developing strategies to mitigate their impact.

The Environmental Researcher will work closely with our team of experts to design and implement research projects, collect and analyze data, and develop reports and recommendations for our stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, research experience, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on environmental issues affecting rural communities in Tanzania
  • Develop strategies to mitigate the impact of environmental issues on rural communities
  • Design and implement research projects
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Develop reports and recommendations for stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental research
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental research, with a strong background in environmental science and research methods.

Salary

The salary for this position is 250,000 – 350,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
