Job Overview

The Forensic Accounting Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high‑impact forensic investigations, fraud risk assessments and litigation support services to our clients. This role is pivotal in enhancing KPMG’s capability to uncover financial irregularities, provide expert testimony and develop robust anti‑fraud frameworks. The successful candidate will work closely with senior partners, legal counsel and client stakeholders to design and execute investigative strategies that protect assets and uphold corporate governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage forensic accounting engagements from planning through delivery, ensuring high‑quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Conduct complex financial investigations, data analytics, and fraud risk assessments for corporate, government and non‑profit clients.
• Prepare detailed investigative reports, expert witness statements and presentation materials for litigation and regulatory proceedings.
• Develop and implement anti‑fraud policies, controls and training programs tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with audit, tax and advisory teams to identify cross‑functional risk indicators and provide integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior staff, fostering technical skill development and professional growth within the team.
• Stay abreast of emerging fraud schemes, regulatory changes and forensic technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Required Skills

• Advanced analytical abilities with proficiency in data mining tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of Tanzanian financial regulations, anti‑money laundering laws and international fraud standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client presentations.
• Leadership experience with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
• High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Chartered Accountant (CA) are highly preferred. Continuous professional development through workshops, seminars and relevant postgraduate courses is encouraged.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigation, litigation support or related advisory services. Prior experience within a Big Four firm or a reputable consultancy is advantageous. Demonstrated success in managing large‑scale investigations and delivering actionable insights to senior stakeholders is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, pension contributions and other statutory benefits.
