Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Geophysics Data Analyst to join our team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting geophysical data to support our research and advisory services. The role will involve working with a range of data types, including seismic, gravity, and magnetic data, as well as developing and maintaining databases and software tools to support our data analysis and interpretation.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics, with a Master’s degree in the subject or a related field. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with geophysical data analysis software and programming languages such as Python and MATLAB.
The role will involve working closely with our team of scientists and support staff to deliver high-quality research and advisory services to our clients. The successful candidate will be based in Dar es Salaam, with regular travel to other parts of Tanzania and occasionally to the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret geophysical data to support our research and advisory services
- Develop and maintain databases and software tools to support our data analysis and interpretation
- Work closely with our team of scientists and support staff to deliver high-quality research and advisory services
- Travel to other parts of Tanzania and occasionally to the UK to support our research and advisory services
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geophysics or related field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality research and advisory services, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary
The salary for this role is 5,000,000 – 8,000,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
