Job Overview

The Production Quality Assurance Manager will lead the quality assurance function for the Mwanza brewery, overseeing all aspects of product quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures for the Mwanza plant.

  • Conduct regular audits of production processes, raw material handling, and finished goods to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce defects and improve product consistency.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to validate new formulations and packaging materials.
  • Manage relationships with external certification bodies and regulatory agencies, ensuring timely submission of reports and certifications.
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and improvement initiatives.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by implementing waste reduction and resource optimization strategies within the QA framework.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing production efficiency and product innovation.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO 9001.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset.

Education

Minimum of five years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage manufacturing sector, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Salary
