Job Overview
The Retail Operations Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing store performance, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency for the Tanga outlet. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the analyst will leverage data analytics, process improvement methodologies, and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance sales productivity, reduce waste, and improve the overall customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock‑turn analysis, and recommend replenishment strategies to minimize out‑of‑stock situations.
- Collaborate with merchandising, logistics, and store management teams to streamline product assortment and placement.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards that track store performance, labor efficiency, and shrinkage rates.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis of operational issues and propose actionable improvement plans.
- Support the implementation of new POS systems and digital tools to enhance data capture and reporting.
- Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Participate in quarterly business reviews and contribute to the development of regional operational strategies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and supply chain fundamentals.

Education

Experience
The ideal applicant will have 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in retail operations analysis, supply chain coordination, or a similar analytical role within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment. Experience with large‑scale retail chains or multinational retailers operating in East Africa is a distinct advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 2,000,000 to 3,500,000 Tanzanian Shillings (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based incentives aligned with the achievement of key operational targets.
