Job Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing end‑to‑end supply chain processes for Unilever Tanzania. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the analyst will be responsible for data‑driven decision making, demand forecasting, inventory management, and performance analysis across the distribution network. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts for multiple product categories.
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and distribution centers, identifying excess or shortage situations and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align supply plans with demand forecasts.
- Prepare regular performance dashboards highlighting key supply chain metrics such as fill rate, order cycle time, and inventory turnover.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process bottlenecks and proposing data‑backed solutions.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of supply chain software tools and automation projects.
- Coordinate with external logistics providers to ensure timely and cost‑effective transportation of goods.
- Participate in monthly business review meetings, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
