Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Materials Scientist to join our team in Mbeya, Tanzania. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable materials solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science and a passion for sustainability. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new materials and products that are environmentally friendly and socially responsible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable materials solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • Design, develop, and test new materials and products that are environmentally friendly and socially responsible
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our materials and products meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify new opportunities for sustainable materials development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a stable and sustainable supply chain

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in materials science and sustainability
  • Strong background in materials science and a passion for sustainability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Education

We are looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree in Materials Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Materials Science or a related field is an added advantage.

Experience

We are seeking a candidate with 8-12 years of experience in materials science and sustainability. Experience in a research and development environment is highly desirable.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of 120,000 – 180,000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
