Job Overview
Ericsson Tanzania is seeking a highly skilled 5G Network Optimization Engineer to lead the deployment and optimization of 5G infrastructure in Tabora. This role is critical to ensuring high-performance, low-latency connectivity for enterprise clients, healthcare institutions, and educational organizations across the region. The successful candidate will work directly with Ericsson’s global R&D team to implement cutting-edge solutions tailored to Tanzania’s evolving digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize 5G network configurations to meet performance benchmarks
- Conduct site surveys and analyze network traffic patterns to identify optimization opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate 5G solutions with existing 4G infrastructure
- Monitor network performance using AI-driven analytics tools and generate actionable reports
- Provide technical support to enterprise clients during 5G implementation phases
Required Skills
- Expertise in 5G NR (New Radio) architecture and protocols
- Proficiency in network simulation tools (e.g., Atoll, WinProp)
- Experience with network performance metrics (KPIs) and optimization techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and reliability
- Fluency in Swahili and English for client communication
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
- Preferred certifications: 5G Network Optimization (Ericsson), RF Planning and Optimization
Experience
- 3-5 years in telecommunications network engineering, with at least 1 year in 5G deployment
- Proven track record in optimizing network performance for high-density urban or rural environments
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses and benefits.
