Job Overview

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all digital channels for Unilever Tanzania’s portfolio of brands. This includes overseeing social media, search engine marketing, display advertising, email campaigns, and emerging platforms such as TikTok and influencer collaborations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies that support brand objectives and revenue targets.
  • Manage end‑to‑end execution of campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies and internal design teams to produce compelling content that resonates with Tanzanian consumers.
  • Analyze performance data using tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and social listening platforms to optimize ROI.
  • Lead a small team of digital specialists, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the e‑commerce and sales teams to align digital initiatives with retail activation plans.
  • Stay abreast of emerging digital trends, platform updates, and competitive activities to maintain a cutting‑edge approach.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in SEO, SEM, programmatic advertising, and social media marketing.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Experience managing budgets of at least SSP 1,000,000 and reporting on spend efficiency.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM platforms.
  • Leadership skills with a collaborative approach to cross‑functional projects.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications in Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint, or Digital Marketing Analytics are highly regarded.
