Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Hydrologist to join our team in Tanga, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting hydrological assessments, developing WASH plans, and implementing water management projects in rural communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrological assessments to identify water resources and potential water management challenges
  • Develop WASH plans that address the needs of rural communities
  • Implement water management projects, including the construction of water supply systems and sanitation facilities
  • Work with local communities, governments, and other partners to ensure the sustainability of WASH projects
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of WASH projects on community health and well-being

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Hydrology or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in hydrology, water management, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in rural communities and with local stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

We require a Master’s degree in Hydrology or a related field from a recognized university. Relevant work experience and a strong academic record will be considered an asset.

Experience

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Hydrologist with 5-7 years of experience in hydrology, water management, or a related field. The successful candidate will have a strong background in hydrology, experience working in rural communities, and excellent communication skills.

Salary

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of 2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per year, depending on experience.
