Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Ecologist to join our team in Njombe, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting ecological assessments and monitoring programs to inform conservation efforts and ensure the long-term sustainability of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ecological assessments and monitoring programs to inform conservation efforts and ensure the long-term sustainability of our projects.
  • Develop and implement ecological monitoring plans to track changes in ecosystem health and biodiversity.
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of our conservation projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders to promote the success of our projects.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in ecological assessments and monitoring programs.
  • Strong knowledge of ecological principles and conservation practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

We are seeking a candidate with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is an added advantage.

Experience

We are seeking a candidate with 5-7 years of experience in ecological assessments and monitoring programs. Experience working in a conservation organization or government agency is an added advantage.

Salary

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of 250,000 – 350,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
