Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team in Morogoro, Tanzania.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing environmental expertise and support to our operations, including environmental impact assessments, environmental monitoring, and environmental management planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans to minimize the environmental footprint of our operations
  • Provide environmental expertise and support to our operations, including training and capacity building for staff
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies in Tanzania
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field from a recognized university

Experience

At least 5-7 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality environmental services

Salary

5,000,000 – 7,000,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
