Job Overview

The Brand Activation Manager will lead the design, execution, and measurement of immersive brand experiences that connect Heineken Tanzania’s iconic brands with consumers in the Kigoma region and beyond. This role reports to the Marketing Director and collaborates closely with sales, trade, digital, and agency partners to deliver integrated activation campaigns that drive brand equity, market share, and sales growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional brand activation plans that support national marketing objectives and local market dynamics.
  • Conceptualise and execute experiential events, festivals, pop‑up activations, and sponsorship activations that enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage activation budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost‑effective delivery of high‑impact experiences.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to integrate social media, influencer, and content strategies into activation programs.
  • Analyse post‑activation performance metrics, consumer feedback, and sales data to optimise future initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Heineken’s brand guidelines, legal regulations, and responsible drinking policies.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams, providing clear direction, timelines, and performance expectations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local trade partners, event organisers, and community stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional creative thinking and ability to translate brand stories into memorable experiences.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale events on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to manage internal and external partners.
  • Data‑analysis proficiency to evaluate activation ROI and inform strategic decisions.
  • Deep understanding of Tanzanian consumer behaviour, especially in the western region.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools; familiarity with CRM and digital analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili, both written and spoken.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in brand management or event management are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in brand activation, experiential marketing, event management, or a similar role within the beverage, consumer goods, or FMCG sector. Prior experience working with multinational brands and managing regional campaigns is highly desirable.

Salary

The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from 2,500,000 to 4,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings (SSP), commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentive schemes are also part of the total compensation package.
