Job Overview

The Environmental Health and Safety Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Bakhresa Group’s Morogoro operations comply with local and international regulations, while fostering a culture of proactive risk management. Reporting to the HSE Manager, the analyst will conduct regular site inspections, perform hazard assessments, and develop corrective action plans. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine environmental and occupational health inspections across all production areas.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend mitigation measures in line with Tanzanian regulations and ISO 45001 standards.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive incident reports, root‑cause analyses, and corrective action logs.
• Monitor air, water, and waste management practices to ensure compliance with environmental permits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate safety protocols into new projects and process changes.
• Develop and deliver safety training modules for employees at all levels.
• Analyze safety performance data and produce monthly KPI dashboards for senior management.
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and follow‑up actions.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian environmental and occupational health legislation.
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical and report‑writing abilities.

Education

The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset during the selection process.

Experience

A minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience in environmental health and safety within an agricultural or food processing environment is required. Prior experience conducting regulatory audits, managing incident investigations, and delivering safety training programs will be viewed favorably.

Salary
