Job Overview

This Biogas Systems Engineer position is part of EnviTec Biogas AG’s mission to deploy cutting-edge biogas solutions in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize biogas systems tailored to agricultural and industrial waste streams.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new biogas projects.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of biogas plants in collaboration with local partners.
• Provide technical support for system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Develop training programs for local technicians and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in biogas system design and project management.
• Proficiency in CAD software and energy modeling tools.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating waste-to-energy processes.
• Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of Tanzanian energy policies and renewable energy incentives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Systems is a plus.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in biogas or renewable energy project development, preferably in emerging markets.

Salary

4,000,000 – 6,000,000 TZS per month, commensurate with experience.
