As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and scaling chemical processes for our manufacturing facilities in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical processes for production scale-up.
• Conduct feasibility studies, pilot trials, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless technology transfer.
• Implement process safety management (PSM) standards and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Analyze process data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce waste.
• Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process specifications.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering.
• Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in chemical process design, optimization, or plant operations within the chemicals, petrochemical, or related industries.

Salary

The salary range for this role is SSP 1,800,000 – SSP 2,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
