Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Associate to oversee and monitor clinical trials in Tanzania. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that clinical trials are conducted in strict accordance with the trial protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and applicable local regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits for clinical trials.
- Verify that trial data are accurate, complete, and verifiable from source documents.
- Ensure the protection of the rights, safety, and well-being of human subjects.
- Collaborate with principal investigators and site staff to resolve queries.
- Prepare detailed monitoring reports and follow-up letters.
- Maintain the Trial Master File (TMF) and ensure essential documents are up to date.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and local regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swahili and English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC).
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Education
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Life Sciences, Medicine, or a closely related scientific discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience
A minimum of three years of direct experience as a Clinical Research Associate or in a similar clinical trial monitoring role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required.
