Job Overview

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of Shell Tanzania’s CSR strategy, ensuring alignment with both corporate objectives and community needs. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to develop programs that drive social, environmental, and economic benefits. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive CSR strategy that supports Shell’s global sustainability framework and local development priorities.
  • Identify and engage with community partners, NGOs, and government bodies to co‑create impactful projects in education, health, livelihood, and environmental conservation.
  • Manage the CSR budget, ensuring transparent allocation of resources and compliance with financial policies.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the outcomes of CSR initiatives using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
  • Provide guidance and training to business units on integrating CSR considerations into operational decisions.
  • Represent Shell Tanzania at industry forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to showcase CSR achievements.

Required Skills

  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data collection, impact assessment, and reporting.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, or a related field is required. Advanced qualifications such as a Master’s degree or professional certifications in CSR or sustainability are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of proven experience in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, or community development roles, preferably within the energy or natural resources sector. Experience managing multi‑million SSP budgets and leading cross‑functional teams is essential.

Salary
